Reword the rule “Tic-Tac-Toe Rules” as follows:
Tic-Tac-Toe is a game for two or more Players where each Player has a distinct symbol. The game is played in Rounds on an NxN grid of cells (AKA the board) where N is the Grid Size, and each cell defaults to blank. Blank cells may be represented by the symbol U+005F (“_”).
While a Round of Tic-Tac-Toe is in-progress, Players may make valid moves where allowed by the ruleset. A valid move consists of replacing exactly one blank cell on the board with your symbol.
When a Player forms a complete row of their symbol spanning the entire vertical, horizontal, or diagonal length of the board (determined by the Grid Size), the round ends and the Player that formed a complete row gains 1 point. If it is impossible for any Player to make a valid move, the round ends and nobody gains a point.
Once a round ends, any player may Reset the board by performing the following atomic action:
* Reset the Grid Size to its default value
* Re-draw the board to match the Grid Size
* Set each cell on the board to blank.
If the proposal “Simple is Beautiful (by E. F. Schumacher)” was enacted, replace “gains 1 point” with “has achieved victory in the game of BlogNomic”.
In the rule “The Grid”, remove “The Grid Size may only be changed as defined in this rule.” Then, replace “The Grid is a publicly tracked NxN grid of Cells, where N is the grid size. Each Cell contains a text value, which is also publicly tracked as part of the Grid itself, defaulting to an empty value.” with:
The Grid refers to a publicly tracked game of Tic-Tac-Toe. The term “the Grid” is not case-sensitive, and can also be used to refer to the board for that particular game. All active players of BlogNomic are players of the Grid. As a Daily Action, a Player can make one move on the Grid.
If the rule Points exists, reword it as follows. Otherwise, add a new rule called Points as follows.
Each Player has a number of Points, which are publicly tracked.
In the rule “Symbology”, replace “A Player may not select U+0020-0 or U+00A0-0.” with
A player may not select any symbol on the list of banned symbols.
Add the following to the end of the rule Symbology:
The following is the list of banned symbols: U+0020-0 (” “), U+00A0-0 (” “), U+005F (“_”). If any Player’s symbol is a banned symbol, they may change their symbol to an allowed symbol and may not take any dynastic actions or post a DoV until they have done so.
This unifies Tic-Tac-Toe Rules with The Grid to make one public game with a clear set of rules, which I think is something we’ve all been trying to accomplish in our own ways.
Clucky: he/him
> U+005F (“_”).
Meanie you’re just jealous of my symbol aren’t you
