Proposal: Like Clockwork

Replace the phrase “Daily Action” (irrespective of upper/lower casing) with “Mechanised Action” throughout the dynastic ruleset.

To “Time’s Passage”, add:-

If an action is defined as a Mechanised Action, a Machinist can only perform it if they have not already performed an instance of it since the most recent Passing Time.

Getting the game actions onto a single clock, so that the maximum number of actions a player can take per Passing Time cycle doesn’t vary according to how much their timezone overlaps with that of the Great Machine.

It might also be worth letting people catch up if they missed a single mechanised action, just in case two Passing Times are close together.

If there’s no space for it, I can propose it myself as a separate proposal

I was initially taking the “Daily” out of “Daily Atomic Action, called Passing Time” as redundant, but good point, it’s worth keeping the “but not more than once every ten hours”. I’ll leave it in.

My dynasty designs usually use periods slightly longer than a day for clock actions like this for good reasons, SingularByte’s among them.
