I think you’d be able to make the money back quite easily by buying a Rare item off of somebody, or happily selling something you know to be a Forgery to another player (we’ve already had a couple of “I’ll give you £2 for it” offers after the Broker has rejected a possible Forgery).

There’s a downside in that players will be more reluctant to trade with an educated player, as they might know something that they don’t. But that’s balanced by an upside in that you can offer (or even sell) advice to other players about what their items are really worth.

The cost is too high in the current environment, but becomes reasonable if the trade volume picks up.
