Each Amnesiac has a Wager which is a set of Segments, and defaults to none. The Wager is tracked on “The Wheel” wiki page. An Amensiac may change their wager at any time. The Size of a Wager is the number of Segments in the set.

in the rule “Wagers” to the following:

Each Amnesiac has a Wager, which is an unordered list of Segments, and defaults to none. Each Amnesiac also has a boolean value names Locked-in which defaults to false. The Wager and the Locked-in value are tracked on “The Wheel” wiki page. If an Amnesiac’s Locked-in value is True, they are said to be Locked-in. An Amnesiac may change their Locked-in value to True at any time. An Amnesiac who is not Locked-in may change their wager at any time. The Size of a Wager is the number of Segments in the list.

At the end of the definition of the Spin The Wheel atomic action, append this bullet point:

Set the Locked-in value of all Amnesiacs to False.

Although this isn’t useful at the moment, I think that a mechanic like this might be helpful later on.

This does seem like a useful mechanic. How would this interact with Spin Doctors also passing?

This mechanic doesn’t conflict with Spin Doctors— If you’re worried about the sentence “An Amnesiac may change their Locked-in value to True at any time.”, Spin Doctor’s rule is more specific, and so would take precedence over this one.

But Spin Doctor’s rule doesn’t say anything about changing their locked in value to true. Just they can’t change their wager. So I think we’ll need something to ease the confusion between the two down the road. But for now this is fine

Wait, what should we do with pokes’ wager after this enacts?

Nothing, I think. I’m not a mathematician, but is there actually any difference between a set and an unordered list? (Saying “ordered” would be better here, but I suspect the funny Wager crowd could change their Wagers to “all segments in alphabetical order”.)

The question is what we do with Pokes and Ayesdeeef’s Wagers if and when Jackpot enacts, as this will create a new Segment. There was a mild consensus that their Wagers would have to be updated to say “and not Occupant” (since there was no way they could have specified it when taking an action prior to the Occupant Segment existing), but they seem to be riding it out to a CfJ.

I’ve put a fix up.
