Add an Ability called “Lone Wolf”:

- Lone Wolf (Manifest 0): This ability, once per dynasty, can be acquired at any moment, other restrictions on Ability acquisitions notwithstanding. This Ability cannot be transferred or lost once acquired by someone. As a Weekly Action and only if a Group with more than one member exists, a Lone Wolf can set their Suspicion to be half its current amount as they’re able to be more sneaky, or tease a Group which has more than one member and increase the Hunger of each member of it by 50% of their current amount. A Lone Wolf is never part of a Group, other Group mechanics notwithstanding.

In case groups are too strong or you just don’t want to group.

against Even with only one Lone Wolf per game (is this intentional?), this seems a big disincentive against ever forming groups, or a reason to only form them at the last possible moment before victory.

Taking the ability is risky because you can’t ever lose it, you would be the target of grouped players attacking you, and the power of a lone wolf is restricted to once a week so I think it’s not too strong an advantage.

Just to note that I personally believe that the power of having allies is absolutely monumental in comparison to any mechanical advantage you might have as a solo player, because of being able to pool resources into a single person, when games are often won by who has the most of a Thing; and because of proposals, which are more powerful than anything else in the game.

Even with this, I’d still much prefer to group. (and even if I become a Lone Wolf, I’d still strive for it informally, which is kind of what really matters anyway)
