I am, just been a bit busy and also I kind of lost motivation to guess the Fish Function because it’s so general, and guessing it was the main reason I was playing.

I wonder if there could be more functions at the same time or something

I mean, you did pretty well with your guesses so far.

Currently, the only way to get a hint is to Churn the Mind, get a few letters of The Big One, and then attempt to extrapolate what the Fish Function might be from that.

We could propose an alternative way to get hints about the Fish Function, beyond just submitting a few Catches.

Actually I meant that figuring out the function feels pointless (or at least strategically non-beneficial) given that apparently almost all words are In Season.

Though it does make me a bit curious so maybe I’ll give it a try at some time when I’m not too tired

I would disagree. Correct guesses provide Doubloons, which can be used for Upgrades and removing Madness, among other things. These in turn potentially allow you to get to future submissions faster, the ultimate goal being to try to guess The Big One, or at least have the most correct guesses, before anyone else does or before Last Catch.

As far as “almost all words are In Season” I think you got lucky with your guesses matching the Fish Function. I recently submitted 17 guesses, and none of mine matched, so it’s certainly not quite so many words that are In Season.
