In Rule 2.8, replace “post a blog post stating that the Adventurer is consulting the Oracle” with:-
send a private message to the Djinni stating that the Adventurer is consulting the Oracle
We ought to have a general sense of how many hints are out there. Plus, I’m of a mind to make the general release of hints _mandatory_, albeit with the person who requested the hint still getting a head start.
I’m all in favour of clarity, but for what’s potentially a daily (every-other-daily?) action, it doesn’t need many adventurers to be playing the clue trail for this to get spammy. I’m happy assuming that anyone who’s jetting around the world is probably following a clue, and I can check the GNDT log to see when they last got teleported to Baghdad.
BlogNomic is an online Nomic: a self-modifying game where changing the rules is part of the game. Players make blog posts proposing additions or alterations to the ruleset, discussing and casting votes in the comments: if enough vote in favour, the rules are changed and play continues.
The game has been running since 2003 and resets every month or so. Have a look around the wiki for more information and history. New players are always welcome and can join in the game at any time.
