Add to the list of equipment:

Dwelling. Infrastructure. Once per sunrise, a pathfinder sharing a location with a base containing a dwelling in its gear may gain 1 stamina.
Power Source. Infrastructure
Fireplace. Infrastructure. Once per sunrise, a pathfinder sharing a location with a base containing a fireplace in its gear may gain 1 stamina

Add to the list of recipes:

*Structural Beam + wrench = Dwelling
*Waterproof Sheet + wrench = Dwelling
*Ingot + magnetic gloves = Dwelling
*Radioactive Brick and conductive wire + magnetic gloves = Power Source
*Long Fibers + rocket Fuel = fireplace
*Structural Beam + rocket Fuel = fireplace
*Oily secretion + rocket Fuel = fireplace
*Flammable Liquid + rocket Fuel = fireplace

Let’s make some of that infrastructure!

Dwellings that we just carry around for a constant stat boost and never even need to put down don’t feel much like infrastructure. Can we expand on the existing concept of Bases, instead?

Infrastructure can’t leave the location of the base where it was created. Saying “carry” was easier than “sharing a location with a base having a dwelling in its gear.”

Altered to keep the infrastructure in the base rather than carrying it.

Oh, I forgot Infrastructure was already in there as a stub. That makes sense, then.

Putting (potentially multiple) Dwellings inside a Base is still a bit topographically surprising - maybe they could be Bunks?

The idea is that the base is a location. Without dwellings or a campfire its just a cache of supplies in the wilderness, as well as a marked location. A base can easily consist of a few tents and a campfire. No initial structure is needed, and with this proposal, no initial structure is implied.

A fair take. I was thinking of them as being basic but secure structures, given that you can’t just cache equipment anywhere, that you only get one Base at a time, and that you can’t access Bases belonging to other players. Supply caches with campsites seem like a much better direction, though.
