Proposal: Making extreme insanity more risky

Passes 7-0 —Ornithopter

Many of the victory conditions depend on Students being Lost.  At the moment, the only way to lose oneself is to deliberately take a big risk, and the only way to bring about another Student’s loss is by Soul Duel.  Sooner or later, we need to provide more ways of being able to knock each other out.  This will make the relevant victory conditions feasible.

Now, extreme insanity is, at the moment, quite a powerful situation with few downsides.  I think it would be reasonable to balance it out with an element of danger for people flirting with such levels of madness.  If this proposal passes, followers of Azahoth will have to choose what level of risk they’re willing to accept in their bid for victory.

Add the following to Rule 2.10:

If a Student’s sanity ever drops below -100, e becomes Lost.

While we’re at it, there’s a contradiction between 2.10 and the consequences of three of the spells in the Tomes rule.

Also in 2.10, change

The Lost List may only be edited as allowed by subrules of this Rule.

“If a student becomes dehydrated because of the Star Vampire, e is added to the Lost List and the Star Vampire departs.”
I just noticed this sentance was left out of the rule, probably a mistake when it was fixed…
