Append to Rule 2.4.3 (Playthings)
If, at the end of a meddling, the Divinity that made the Meddling Post (the Meddler) neither Uplifted or Tormented the Plaything, then the Meddler may increase their Prominence by up to VII within the next 24 hours if an equal number of Divinities Uplifted and Tormented the Plaything, otherwise any Divinity may decrease the Meddler’s Prominence by up to V within the next 24 hours.
If, and the end of a meddling, the Meddler Uplifted or Tormented the Plaything, the Meddler may increase their Prominence by up to III within the next 24 hours if more Divinities Uplifted the Plaything than Tormented him or vice versa, otherwise any Divinity may decrease the Meddler’s Prominence by up to II.
Create encouragement for Meddling, but also a possible penalty.
Purplebeard:
Given the distribution of influence, it’s unlikely that a plaything receives an equal amount of torments and upliftings, so meddling and uplifting/tormenting is pretty much guaranteed to net you III prominence. If one feels particularly tricksy one can wait until 23:59 hours after making the meddling post to decide what to do.
