Proposal: Message in a Bot

Self-killed by Brendan. Failed by Brendan.

Add a rule called “Transmissions,” as follows:

As a Daily Action, a Crewmember may send a Private Message to the Ship’s Computer with the title “Transmission: Androids.” This is called a Transmission. At any time, the Ship’s Computer may relay the body of such a message to all Android Crewmembers, with an added note identifying which Crewmember sent it. The Ship’s Computer shall then decrement the Trust of the Crewmember who created the Transmission by 1.

As a Weekly Action, if a Crewmember has not created a Transmission in the last five days, they may increment their own Trust by 1.

And if they want to talk back, well, I suppose they can Demand things. Feel free to sink this if it seems like too much busy-work, Kevan.

against a) Scammable, b) the way in which it’s scammable tells me a lot about Brendan’s alignment.

against Seems no reason for Humans not to grind this every day by posting a dummy message to the Androids; it gets them closer to the top of the Human victory, and it proves they’re not going for a personal Android victory.

Hah, this wasn’t supposed to actually go up yet! It was still a work in progress. I thought “save revision” would save it as a draft.  against s/k
