Proposal: Torus World

Reached quorum (10-3). —Thelonious

Adminned at 05 Sep 2006 01:18:18 UTC

If Proposal: Styles and tribulations passes, change the sentence “In this rule, any implied ordering of the Musicians is the order they’re listed in the GNDT.” to read:

In this rule, any implied ordering of the Musicians is the order they’re listed in the GNDT, which wraps so that the last Musician listed in the GNDT is adjacent to the first Musician listed.

otherwise, add the following sentence after “If the Musicians listed directly above and directly below another…” in the rule Harmony:

The last Musician listed in the GNDT is considered to be directly above the first Musician in the GNDT, and the first Musician in the GNDT is considered to be directly below the last Musician.

Well, it’s really more of a circle world than a donut world… but you get the idea. Unbounded spaces are good spaces.

Never mind. I’d rather vote against, since acutal Musicians don’t sit in a circle around the conductor.

against I think I agree with Elias’s logic here. Musicians sit around the conductor in a semi-circular arc, not a full circle.

So what determines or -should- determine the order of the musicians (other than the somewhat arbitrary GNDT display ordering)?

I’m preferential to reading tea leaves, myself. ;)

Tea leaves are okay as long as I’m still first.

for There shouldn’t be any advantage to being first or last on the list.
