In the subrule “Gewgaws” add the following text:

;Prismatic Mirror: Before the spells selected for a Duel are cast, each Trendy Wizard named in that Duel’s Wizard Ring loses 1 Star, and each Wizard who selected the spell Unify loses 1 Star.

Trying to avoid a flood of everyone becoming Trendy and just coasting on easy Stars by encouraging a shift in Styles whenever the Prismatic Mirror comes up in a Duel.

Don’t think I like this. If everyone is is being trendy, its super easy for you to get to be unique instead and still get good output

Well, except that the Unique wizards will get Sniped.

Besides, it’s just a Gewgaw. There’s no guarantee it will come up even if your proposal passes since it’s random selection.

The star loss should take effect after all spells rather than before them, to interact properly with style-changing spells.

What is BlogNomic?

BlogNomic is an online Nomic: a self-modifying game where changing the rules is part of the game. Players make blog posts proposing additions or alterations to the ruleset, discussing and casting votes in the comments: if enough vote in favour, the rules are changed and play continues.

The game has been running since 2003 and resets every month or so. Have a look around the wiki for more information and history. New players are always welcome and can join in the game at any time.
