Proposal: More Monsters

Times out, 2-3. Failed by pokes.

Adminned at 04 Mar 2019 12:03:51 UTC

Add a new Monster to the Bestiary’s List of Monster Types with the following attributes:
Name: Bunny
Hit Points: 4
Frequency: 8
Ecology: Overgrown Forest, Labyrinthine Canyon
Spoils: Meat (3), Rabbit’s Foot (8)
Description: Mostly harmless, but also very tasty.

Add another Monster to the same list with the following attributes:
Name: Troll
Hit Points: 8
Frequency: 5
Ecology: Dank Cave, Eldritch Ruin
Spoils: Monster Guts (4), Spit (5), Club (6)
Description: There are some things you can’t share without ending up liking each other, and knocking out a twelve-foot troll is one of them.

Format these Monster entries according to the current standards, ignoring Description if necessary.

Add the following to the Marketplace’s List of Items:

=== Rabbit’s Foot ===
Good luck, unless you’re trying to avoid weird looks.
*During each Hunt, an Adventurer with this item may re-roll one die once, either for attacking or scavenging.

=== Spit ===
Gooey monster saliva, with a slightly corrosive property.

=== Club ===
A crude, heavy, wooden weapon
*Attack Power: 2
*Can only be used by an Adventurer with might 2 or higher

=== SpikeStick ===
A local favorite in weaponry, made by fashioning poisonous spikes to a wooden club.
*Attack Power: 5
*Can only be used by an Adventurer with might 2 or higher

=== Acidic Paste ===
A contraband corrosive concoction commonly cultivated for claiming creatures’ items.
*Scavenging Power: 8
*Destroy after use
*An Adventurer with this item in their Inventory may not travel to the Town
*May not be given to other Adventurers

Add the following to the Marketplace’s List of Trades:

*1 Spit → 10 coins
*1 Spit + 1 Purple Ichor → 1 Acidic Paste
*1 Club + 1 Poisonous Stinger + 10 coins → 1 SpikeStick
*1 Rabbit’s Foot → 15 coins

If the Proposal “Level Up!” has not passed, remove the might requirements from the Club and SpikeStick Item descriptions.

Back to a couple Dragonwood creatures. SpikeStick is a strong weapon, but difficult to make.

The spike stick feels a little unbalancing. Its got more power than even the destroy on use tools, and right now I favor magic unlocking items rather than might.

The rabbit foot is a huge bonus to be dropped by such a small creature. I’d prefer simple bonuses.

The paste is strong but requires two difficult drops from difficult creatures and is single shot, so it looks good.

The creatures and concept ideas are fine, but the numbers feel a touch high

Well, the spike stick also requires drops from two different difficult monsters, but yeah, it might be unbalancing.  I do like the rabbits foot, but maybe it could be a one use item, or could turn into into an unlucky rabbits foot after use, or could require magic to function?
