I respect your take on that, Kevan; I have some alarm about a player with a track record of taking BN decisions for Agora reasons access to admin controls, but I agree that it’s unlikely to be an active concern day-to-day.

From the wiki writeup, I understood the deal to have been Cuddlebeam obeying Trapdoor’s instructions in BlogNomic (maybe even becoming a full-on sockpuppet) in exchange for unspecified favours at Agora. If taking BN decisions for Agora reasons are a concern, that points the needle at Cuddlebeam rather than Trapdoor.

I don’t see any foul in Trapdoor having broken the “don’t buy BN favours in other games or currencies” Fair Play rule before it was proposed or even discussed.

Sure, but we’re not making a legalistic decision here; it’s qualitative. The stakes are extremely low! And I certainly don’t think that your reasoning is unreasonable, although I do think that being the sockpuppeter is not more laudable than being the sockpuppet. While I don’t allege that TDS did anything illegal or even particularly immoral, that doesn’t mean I’m comfortable having them in a position of even pseudo-responsibility just now.

If it helps any, I was approached by Cuddle on the matter and did not at the time understand the negative implications of the deal.

I think I’d like to hear Trap’s case.

Participation in 3 full dynasties is just enough for me to call someone experienced. That and Trap’s desire to be an admin, to help out and be responsible in the community, that’s all I’m looking for.

(As a side-note matter of precedence, I’d call admin and emperor very different kinds of roles—there’s no need to make every new emperor a new admin at the same time.)
