Proposal: No thanks, I’m set

reached quorum 5-0 with 1 def enacted by card
this was accidentally enacted early but it didn’t matter because the preceding proposal was failed shortly afterwards

Replace “If a Recipient has had Access to a particular Crate for the past 24 hours, but has not Looted it, then any Resident may set that Resident’s Alertness to zero.” with:

If a Recipient has had Access to a particular Crate for the past 48 hours, but has not Looted it, then any Resident may set that Resident’s Alertness to zero. A Resident with Access to a Crate may set their own Alertness to zero if they also post a comment on that Crate post that includes “zzz”.

This is going to slow down the dynasty gameplay, whether the timeouts are accidental or (as the pause for offers in Crate 15) deliberate.

How long do people need in practice? Is 24 too limiting because it forces you to check in to BlogNomic at the same time every day (rather than 9am one day and 5pm the next), and would 30 be enough? Would it make sense to pause the clock at weekends?

I think 30 hours would be good for me. My possibility to check in is a bit random albeit limited, and I’ve empirically observed that 24 hours results in many close calls for me. (when I timed Cuddlebeam out, I was tied in priority with him and we had both gone over by 2 hours I think, so when I finally managed to log in I was sure I was the one who was put to sleep).
How about a system where we keep a relatively low time-out, but it doesn’t mean you go to sleep but that the next player goes before you ?

Or something like “Every 12 hours that passes without you looting the crate allows another Resident to temporarily reduce your alertness by 1 (noted as 3 - 1 for example)” ?
