Proposal: Not gone yet

Failed 12-3—Rodlen

Adminned at 29 Jan 2010 16:49:37 UTC

Add a new rule, “Turning Up”:

As a weekly action -if the lights are on- a Missing Guest may roll D5 in the GNDT and apply the result to the list below:
1. The guest becomes Healthy and is moved to the Basement.
2. The guest becomes Healthy and is moved to the Bathroom.
3. The guest becomes Healthy and is moved to the Library.
4. The guest becomes Healthy and is moved to the Attic.
5. The guest remains missing.

Intentionally makes it more likely to appear in the basement and attic. After all, those are the creepiest parts of the house.

Sorry if being Idle is frying my mind, but this weights the basement and attic how? They’re just as likely as the other outcomes by the looks of it.

Oh yeah. This is a later draft of the proposal with the earlier flavor text.

“Missing” is still not available. How does this do anything?

It does something if missing becomes available.

against Save until we can be missing then might be useful. Now it does nothing of any use except bulk up the ruleset.

If you’re going to want it in the ruleset, you might as well do it while it is proposed.

against Per Greytyphoon; it’s not clear what “Missing” really signifies, so it doesn’t seem that helpful to say “we don’t know what being missing means yet, but you can definitely get back from it within a few minutes”.

With Kevan’s latest proposal some of you might consider a CoV.
