Proposal: Of course we’re scientists, now pass the tarot cards

Add a new rule tot he ruleset, entitled Star SIgns:

Each Scientist has a star sign, which is tracked on the Scientists page of the wiki. A Scientist’s star sign in the same regardless of which Universe they are in.

The possible values for a Scientist’s Star Sign are Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, or Pisces, or No Star Sign, which is the default value.

Once in the Dynasty, a Scientist may set their Star Sign by rolling DICE12 against the list above, and setting their star sign on the Scientists page of the wiki. Once a Scientist’s star sign is set it cannot be changed by any means.

What star signs mean should vary from one Universe to the next.

Note that everyone defaults to Aries if no starting value is defined and “no star sign” isn’t a valid star sign.

Stuff like this seems fairly easy leverage for partisan Proposals though because you can’t change signs so they can easily identify/target certain players via the sign, if the game becomes centered on that (my sign + these signs have these benefits, those others have these less relevant benefits).

“Cannot be changed by any means”: the only devices to change Rules are Core Rules. Dynastic Rules have priority over them.

Would it be legal to repeal this rule, or would that be attempting to change the unchangeable and thus be illegal?

@Cuddlebeam:

The rule effects only the values of the star signs, not the rule itself.

Also, see prioritization in the appendix, which weakens the clause quite a lot and should keep us out of trouble.

The star signs cannot be changed, but presumably they can be abolished.
