Proposal: On My Desk In Triplicate

Timed out, passed 12-6, enacted by Kevan.

Adminned at 15 Mar 2006 08:07:02 UTC

Add a new Rule, “Suspicion”:-

Each Gostak may suspect one other Gostak of being up to no good - this is tracked as a GNDT field. A Gostak may change the Gostak they suspect, at any time.

If a Gostak is suspected of being up to no good by three or more other Gostaks, then the Suspected Gostak may not declare victory or otherwise become Ché-Háme-Háme.

hmm… change “three” to “half of quorum” or similar, and I’ll vote for it. Seems too easy to get three people together to stop a legitimate victory. Also, it’s nicer if it scales with quorum, in case the game gets much bigger suddenly.

I like it… it’s an interesting game theory experiment.

I like the idea, but I agree the set value is too low. Quorum would be better. Or maybe half of quorum, rounded up.

Everyone can only supsect one person at a time… so I don’t know.

Yeah, it could prevent an otherwise legal win, but it seems like a workable mechanic to me.
