R5 I got lucky and got the “TTL” and turns out there are surprisingly few seven letter words with those letters in them (though did also get fortunate with hitting it in the first set of picks)

R6 nearly threw me for a loop after I got BOO+GDA and couldn’t find any 8 letter words that fit. But fortunately after finding out it was between AGEDBOOK and GOLDBOAT + getting the L was able to narrow it down enough to spot bloodbag (still also got pretty fortunate to get 7 letters in 3 churnings of the mind)

Well played! Real rollercoaster at the end there. BLOOD BAG was on my radar but not one of my top choices. My random letters were BOOBA. I think the Pearl of Wisdom hint ‘Clock’ ended up being more distracting than helpful; too easy to draw a straight line through two data points, I suppose.

I first guessed ATOM BOMB (“things that tick”?) and was seriously considering BASS OBOE (“things that ‘keep time’”?) until I saw your guess of AGED BOOK. Then I was very confident that the rule had something to do with time; between the letters you guessed and my letters, I was pretty sure of my guess OLD KABOB. I did have a nagging feeling that there had to be a ‘G’ in there somewhere, since ‘AGED’ is such a specific word to guess if you didn’t get a G, but I convinced myself otherwise.
