Is it unlikely? The Gravity Room would only need to have the word “east” changed to “west” in order to trap Richardo and break the algorithm. Thematically, I just imagine Richardo squeezing through a narrow gap between rooms, after an exit is blocked behind him.

This could easily happen as a consequence of a Sepulchre collapsing, and it seems like a sensible way to resolve the situation.

actually this doesn’t directly put Jumble in danger because that room has an exit. so its probably fine. Still think teleporting random is better

sepulchres dont collapse until the crypt settles, & richardo can skip steps if he gets stuck

Yes, skipping steps was added to address exactly this. If Richardo becomes unable to move from his current location, he can skip his moves until he runs out of Energy.
