Proposal: Opening up the Ocean

Withdrawn. Failed by JonathanDark.

Flip the contents of the Sea Chart in the following manner:
Swap all contents of column A with the contents of column G; the contents of column B with the contents of column F; and the contents of column C with the contents of column E, in each case keeping the contents in their original rows.

Change the text of the rule “Landmarks” to

There exists a Shore, which is any cell where the cell’s label has A in it.

There exists an Ocean, which is any cell where the cell’s label contains a letter that comes after F in alphabetical order.

There exists a Judge’s Hut, which is at cell A4.

There exists three Basalt Obelisks, which are at cells F2, E5 and D8.

This lets us think about expanding the ocean to columns H-Z, if we decide to go that direction.

imperial  In my view, it makes sense for the majority of the dynasty to take place in the bay, with the ocean only being at the very edge. If there was a good mechanic that needed the ocean then I might change my mind, but for the time being I’m not seeing much reason to expand in that direction.

Two things to think about:
* Expanding the grid is going to start getting unwieldy
* If we really want an expanded Ocean (deep-sea fishing) we could have a second grid that represents the ocean map. Traveling from one grid to another wouldn’t be too difficult in that case

against I’d be more for a second level for depth if we decide on that myself

against Withdrawn. Keeping it focused, sounds good; I’m all for a deep dive of Blackwater Bay.
