Proposal: Out Raked

If the text “are greater than the sum of all other Gamblers’ Points” appears in the ruleset, replace it with “are greater than the sum of the Points of all other Gamblers who have a positive number of Points”

Negative players can pull the total down which I think hurts the intended spirit of the rule. If someone has 15 points and someone else has 10 and everyone else is negative, I think that should count as a plaque for the person with 15 points. But instead, both the 15 and the 10 will be greater than the negative sum, and so neither can get the plaque.

Its also currently unclear if you need to be the only gambler who outranks everyone else, and also outrank the segment total; or if you need to be the only gambler who outranks both. Right now, Jumble can get a plaque if you assume its the only gambler to outrank both, but they are not the only gambler to outrank the points total just the only one to have at least as many points as segments.

against The 15-10 example I think is one where the player with 15 should not get a plaque until they have established a clearer dominance. We’ve seen that the wheel can deliver capricious results…

I think we can totally make it so that 15-10 isn’t dominants. But its weird to me that someone else losing points can make you less dominant. If “everyone else at -20, me at 10, you at 15” isn’t enough for you to get a plaque, then neither should “everyone else at 0, me at 10, you at 15”
