Proposal: Pair Ray Yaw

Vetoed. Josh

Adminned at 24 Aug 2021 11:17:08 UTC

Create a new rule called “Status”:

A Legislator is a Pariah or not, and is by default not a Pariah. This is publicly tracked.

Add to the list in “Veto List”:

- The Proposal’s author is a Pariah.

For every Legislator, if their Vote isn’t FOR this Proposal, then make them a Pariah.

We already got lined up a wincon and main way to play (“Victory Executed Through Obstruction”) by the Emperor.

Well, alright. I’m up for obstructing my competition via Proposals and the Veto List as per the dynasty’s design, so let’s try this out.

Really don’t like this. This would excluding against voters from dynastic gameplay potentially for the rest of the dynasty. Also, it’s unclear how it handles DEF-votes.

against I think trying this is a valid strategy, but I also think that simply voting things like this down is also a valid strategy (and one that most players are likely to adopt).

I’m also concerned about timing windows – if this ever looks like it’s passing then it’s in everyone’s interest to just CoV to FOR on it, but they might not be online.

This is a terrible proposal but because I gain resources by voting for it and if somehow it does pass due to a mass change of votes I’m screwed

I highly encourage ais to pull out the veto on this one though

veto This is going to lead to timing-window problems when it’s about to enact / fail / time out, regardless of whether it’s passing or failing. So vetoing seems like the best thing to do, to avoid forcing players to be awake at a random time of day.
