Proposal: Personal belongings

Create a rule called “Personal belongings” with the following text:

Each Survivor can possess items which are tracked in the Blognomic wikipedia page “Survivor’s Belongings”. If a survivor has not done so yet, he may arbritrarily select an item a human is able to carry and add that to the items they own.

If the wikipage “Survivor’s belongings does not exist, create it, otherwise blank it.

Each Survivor may have rescued one item of personal interest from the Haniver. Let’s see where that leads to.

for Bold direction. Any particularly strange belongings may turn out to be the delusional signs of an unsound mind…

against “Blognomic wikipedia page” is probably not what you meant to say, but that is what you’ve put.

That doesn’t matter does it? It doesn’t necessarily specify the main Wiki?

I don’t know how common it really is, but a lot of people say “wikipedia” when they mean “wiki”. A reference to “the Blognomic wikipedia” seems unambiguous, though - there’s no way it could be talking about BlogNomic’s hypothetical page on Wikipedia.

This could just be a GNDT column, though.

The reference isn’t to “the Blognomic wikipedia”, though, it’s to the “the Blognomic wikipedia page”.

If I asked you to provide a link to the “quantum mechanics wikipedia page” you’d almost certainly come back with this.

No, the reference is to “the Blognomic wikipedia page “Survivor’s Belongings””. If I asked you to provide a link to the “quantum mechanics wikipedia page “Waveform-Collapsing Catfood””, you wouldn’t be able to.

That’s a fair point, but I still disagree about the existence of the “Blognomic wikipedia” anything (barring the empty Wikipedia article on Blognomic and the Blognomic mention on Wikipedia’s nomic article, of course).

I’m not sure that’s a reason to Fail the proposal though. As Kevan says, a GNDT column might do (though I imagine that each person could have a few things, so perhaps a list like the Key in the last dynasty might make more sense).

I proposed to track items on a wiki page as I thought it may add a lot to the theme if survivors could bring “strange” objects with them, which have a quite elaborate description (See also my other comment.). Mundane food however can be tracked in the GNDT.
