Change the first two paragraphs of the rule “Players” from

Anybody may apply to join BlogNomic (if e is not already playing) by contacting any of the Admin Staff, specifying the name e wishes to use in the game and the URL or email address e wants eir name to link to in the Player roster. The Admin may choose to approve or reject this application; if it is approved, the applicant will be signed up as a Member of the BlogNomic weblog, and will be considered a Player from the moment that e first appears on the roster in the sidebar.

A Player may change eir name or eir sidebar link, or leave the game, at any time, by posting an entry to the BlogNomic weblog requesting such action.

for Fix. This “Test functionality.” doesn’t work at all.

for I’ve liked the Icon beside the Proposal’s title. But I’d like to see the word “Proposal:” too…

for, fix.

for Do you think it’s worthwhile to make substantial changes to the core ruleset? Will we continue to use THIS ruleset when the switch happens? If so, will the BlogNomic players who aren’t here object?

We have to make the transition as seamless as possible.  Note that this change, and the ones already made, are almost entirely procedural and not functional changes: that is, they change the way that things are done, not the things themselves.

I think the plan is to use this time to get the core ruleset sorted out, and maybe have some fun, too, and then propose in the main game during one of these dynasties that, upon the /next/ DoV, the game move here using the Core Ruleset in place at this location

The fact that Admins can no longer reject requests seems functional to me, is all.

Ooh.  Well, the idea was that they can reject an application by not adding the player to the sidebar.  But then I guess my wording makes it sound like the Admin has no choice in the matter.

I’m at my Proposal quota, but feel free to amend this rule again with a Proposal of your own.  :)

I don’t want to do that. I don’t think Admins should have that choice. :) I’m asking because I want to propose changes too, but not if it’s just going to be reverted later.

Seventy-Fifth Trombone:

Well hey, go ahead!  If it gets reverted later, at least you had a better shot than proposing it and having it shot down in the main game.  :)

But yes, all changes made to the core Ruleset will be part of the initial Switch Proposal.  If it doesn’t get accepted as it is when we Propose it, we may have to make some changes, but we won’t revert any of what we do here right off the bat.
