Replace the following text in rule Relics of Power:
A Relic’s Power is flavour text.
with:
Once per day, the Dark Lord may add a rule to the ruleset named after a Power. Whenever a new Power is named, it’s name cannot match the name of any existing rule. Any rule named after a Power can do nothing except define a Daily Action that can only be taken by Souls holding that Relic.
All praise the Dark Lord.
Haha! Arthexis, are you from an era when they let an Emperor’s do whatever they wanted with the Ruleset? This would make Brendan (a Malign Emperor with Soul privileges) able to let any Soul to do anything.
Though it’s a good observation that we don’t really need the flavour text line. Once the wiki page is no longer editable, Powers can’t take the form of anything but what’s listed there as a Constellation.
On the one hand, giving a malign emperor arbitrary ruleset injection powers seems bad. On the other, it’s likely to benefit me, so.
BlogNomic is an online Nomic: a self-modifying game where changing the rules is part of the game. Players make blog posts proposing additions or alterations to the ruleset, discussing and casting votes in the comments: if enough vote in favour, the rules are changed and play continues.
