Proposal: Power to the Legislators

Timed out 3 votes to 5. Failed by Kevan.

In the rule “Cycle Resolution”, change the text

if a single Player has more Councilmen than every other player, that player gains an amount of Power equal to one tenth of the total amount of Power

to

if a single Player has more Councilmen than every other player, that player gains an amount of Power equal to one fifth of the total amount of Power

The Council hasn’t been getting a lot of attention - I think for good reason, I put the bonus to low.

“The Council hasn’t been getting a lot of attention” - did you just give us information about past directions? As far as we knew, no one influencing the council may have been caused by ties.

I did not say what caused anything or what any person specifically bid. It is entirely possible that a few people have submitted very high tying bids, or any number of other situations. My comment was in reference to the nomic as a whole, not any particular moment or decision.

I can confirm the thing about ties on the Council.  The tying bid was probably 1.

against It’s not getting much attention now because we’re still early in the game. As we move into midgame it will become more important, and by the endgame I expect it (along with the several mechanics that destroy councilmen) will become the central focus. No need to overcorrect now.
