Proposal: Proposal Honor

Self-killed. -Purplebeard

Adminned at 05 Apr 2010 08:16:06 UTC

If the Proposal titled “Dwarven Honor” failed, this Proposal does nothing.

Otherwise, reword the subrule “Legislation” of the Rule “Honor” to:

When a Proposal is Enacted, the submitter gains 15 Honor.

Keba gains 15 Honor instead of “2 Honor for each vote cast in favor of the proposal in addition to the submitter’s vote.” for this Proposal.

I thought about the Proposal Honor thing again. There are some more problems. For example: A really good Proposal could reach Quorum. If an Admin enact this one then, the submitter maybe gains less Honor than he would gain, if the Admins wait a few hours. Additionally, what’s about deferential votes? etc…

for This is the proper fix, in my eyes.

Personally, I don’t like the other idea either, perhaps “Legislation” should just be removed.

S/K against per Purplebeard and I assume, this would do nothing: “If the Proposal titled “Dwarven Honor” failed, this Proposal does nothing.”

Way back when we gave out gold* for proposals that passed, we had the option to label proposals as “trivial” reducing the amount of gold you’d get from it, but not taking up one of your main proposal slots. I think you had two slots and an extra slot for a trivial? I don’t really remember. If you want to repropose rewards for proposals’ passing, you may want something along those lines.

I’ll still vote against it, but that may swing enough votes to get it through.

*Actual, real-world gold, mind you. We had to stop eventually because the shipping costs back and forth across the Atlantic were threatening to bankrupt the game, but I’m pretty sure Kevan made enough that’s he’s still paying for Urban Dead’s bandwidth in BN gold.
