Proposal: Proposal: Iaxus the Shattered

Add the following rule, titled ” Iaxus the Shattered”:

- Each island can grant itself one “Planar favor” if they do not already have one. Each favor can only be used once until The Flood occurs, refreshing this one-time-use limit. The starting Planar Favors are:
—Tidal Favor: The island may increase one of the values of the island, out of all tracked gamestate information, by 1
—Infinity Favor: The island may copy over one of the effects on Terrain Dice to one of their other Terrain Dice effects, replacing said effect.
—Sealing Favor: The island may choose to skip the next turn, which negates all effects that would apply to the island on that turn (except a successful declaration of victory)
—Rifting Favor: The island may choose to commit one atomic action this turn to automatically attempt to do at their next turn. This does not count as their standard action (meaning they can do it again their next turn)

The great Planeswalker Iaxus the Shattered has noticed our puny little islands and decided that each island can have some of his Godly power.

You mean “Add the following rule”, at the start there.

against This is a direct and explicit reference to existing IP ( https://indines.fandom.com/wiki/Iaxus_the_Shattered ) and while I welcome the new player, I am severely disinclined from allowing this sort of thing, especially when the early stages of the game have introduced a pretty original concept. With no pun intended, no dice.

We could have renamed the rule (during the two-hour edit window, or afterwards), if people didn’t like the IP.

against for these being free actions rather than part of the turn structure, though, and likely to end up with a “lead player has to skip their turn”, “lead player’s dice get worse” pile-on towards the end, when someone is about to win. I’m also not sure what Rifting Favor is trying to do.

against perhaps pettily, primarily because I really like the current theme and would rather not introduce humanoids or civilized intelligent life forms in the mix until maybe the very late stages (whether explicitly or implicitly).. let’s just be islands doing island things..

Just vote against it. But proposals can only be resolved in the order they were created. So this stays active until older pending proposal is resolved.
