This post should make sense even if “Proposal: One step at a time” fails, but it probably shares any flaws possessed that proposal, if any such flaws exist.

As it stands now, the last ditch defenses would go on the bottom of the plot, not the right.  And I agree with Bucky.  We already have a lot of disconnected stuff, so we should get all this hooked together first.

Why not just add an extra column to each plot?

And don’t feel bad about this failing. first proposals (which don’t need proposal in the title btw. the catagory pick does it for ya) by new players tend to get failed because of newness. you’ll get the hang of it.
