Scribes start the game with 0 Offenses. Whenever a Scribe performs an action that affects GNDT statistics of another Scribe, the latter can declare he is Offended by his actions, and subsequently adding 1 to the Offenses of the former. A Scribe with 3 or more Offenses is considered Harmful. A Scribe who is not Harmful is then Harmless.
Note: Should say where to add the ruletext (presumably to a new rule). You can edit your proposal as long as all comments on it are Notes like this one.
If you rewrite this, you should include a time limit for how long we have to declare offense.
Ok, thank you. So I specify I add a new rule, and also the time a Scribe has to declare himself offended by another one, right? I would also like to change “Mostly Harmless” to “Harmless”, but I don’t know how to make two changes in one post.
Izzoboetam - if you look at the blog’s archives, there are plenty of examples of enacted proposals.
BlogNomic is an online Nomic: a self-modifying game where changing the rules is part of the game. Players make blog posts proposing additions or alterations to the ruleset, discussing and casting votes in the comments: if enough vote in favour, the rules are changed and play continues.
The game has been running since 2003 and resets every month or so. Have a look around the wiki for more information and history. New players are always welcome and can join in the game at any time.
