Proposal: queueing

Self-killed. Failed by Kevan.

Amend the rule “Spare Segments” by replacing the paragraph beginning “A Spare Segment may be Primed” with:

Spare Segments have a “Position” value, tracked on “The Wheel” wikipage. It is an integer greater than or equal to 0, defaulting to 3. A Spare Segment with a Position of 0 is considered to be Primed.

Amend the subrule “Wagers” by deleting the bullet point beginning “If the Wheel has more than 8 Segments”, then inserting before the bullet point beginning “For each Primed Spare Segment” the following bullet point:

Let S be the number of Segments on the Wheel plus the number of Primed Spare Segments. If S is larger than 8, repeatedly select a random Segment on the Wheel and change it to being not on the Wheel with a Position of DICE3, until S = 8.

This should make spare segments a bit more interesting. They gradually tick closer to inclusion on the Wheel, and are added on a Wheel Spin.

Is this missing a step, for the “gradually tick closer” it describes? The Spares all get a Position of 3, which never changes.

Ugh, yes. There was supposed to be another bullet point that decreases all Positions by one. I thought I was missing something but couldn’t figure out what it was so assumed it was fine.

against Self-killing. I’ll repropose later.
