If the proposal here: http://blognomic.com/archive/now_with_one_more_a/ does not pass, this proposal does nothing

Add a new rule called “Seeds” and give it the following text

Each Time Monk has a number of Muffin Seeds, which may be any of the twenty six letters of the english alphabet or an asterick (*). Seeds a tracked in a GNDT called “Seeds” and sorted in alphabetical order with * appearing first. (So a Time Monk with seeds “A”, “C”, “D”, “*”, “Z”, “D” would have their Seeds column be “*ACDDZ”)  Each seed has a value, denoted below:

* has value 0
A has value 1
B has value 3
C has value 3
D has value 2
E has value 1
F has value 4
G has value 2
H has value 4
I has value 1
J has value 8
K has value 5
L has value 1
M has value 3
N has value 1
O has value 1
P has value 3
Q has value 10
R has value 1
S has value 1
T has value 1
U has value 1
V has value 4
W has value 4
X has value 8
Y has value 4
Z has value 10

Add a subrule to this rule called “Drawing Seeds” with the following text:

There exists a game action called Drawing a Seed. To Draw a Seed, a Time Monk rolls a DICE100 and gains a Seed based on the result of the roll according to the following mapping:

1 - 2: *
3 - 11: A
12 - 13: B
14 - 15: C
16 - 19: D
20 - 31: E
32 - 33: F
34 - 36: G
37 - 38: H
39 - 47: I
48 - 48: J
49 - 49: K
50 - 53: L
54 - 55: M
56 - 61: N
62 - 69: O
70 - 71: P
72 - 72: Q
73 - 78: R
79 - 82: S
83 - 88: T
89 - 92: U
93 - 94: V
95 - 96: W
97 - 97: X
98 - 99: Y
100 - 100: Z

A time monk with fewer than seven seeds may Draw a Seed at any time.

Anyone up for a game of scrabble? If we want to stick with the time traveling thing, I’m thinking you could use the seeds to plant muffins of various flavors in the past, then travel to the present to harvest the muffins and get tastypoints to fuel your time machine. Game mechanics could be based on shuffling your hand of tiles around, as well as on changing what words are legal, the tile distirbution, and how scoring works to maximize your tastypoint.

A Time Monk with fewer than seven seeds may Draw a Seed at any time. But nothing is said about Time Monk with seven or more seeds; doesn’t the sentence “To Draw a Seed, a Time Monk rolls a DICE100 and gains…” imply, in the absence of any other restriction, that any Time Monk can Draw a Seed at any time?

Just because a game action exists, doesn’t mean you can do it at any time (at least I don’t think).

Well, “There exists a game action called Drawing a Seed.” certainly doesn’t imply anything; but I was thinking perhaps “To Draw a Seed, a Time Monk rolls…” may be interpreted as “A Time Monk can Draw a Seed by rolling…” which would mean that a Time Monk can in fact Draw a Seed.

against because it will work if the repeal fails and Bucky’s second proposal passes.
