Proposal: Recruitment Drive

Times out at 6-5. -Purplebeard

Adminned at 23 Jul 2010 01:54:23 UTC

Cause all @s with 0 Deaths and a role of “-” to die, as if a rule caused them to die. @s who unidled or became @s after this proposal was posted are unaffected.

Not picking a role is currently a tactically valid option for active @s, as it gives other @s (mainly myself) less incentive to attack them because they have no items to loot. This forces them to pick a role and play, and also weeds out inactive players.

For reference, this proposal specifically targets Ienpw III, comex and Brownie.

I’m not sure how killing someone motivates them to pick a role.

Purplebeard:

I’m not sure I understand; they only die if they don’t pick a role before this is passed. Ienpw III is safe now.

Death is only a bad thing if you’ve already picked a role.

Or if you’re going for an elimination win, which seems like the best path to victory right now.

Elimination and amulet wins are actually pretty similar strategywise, right now; either will involve killing the high-levelled players. The difference mostly depends on what happens on dlvl 1.
