Proposal: Removing the Rule [Core]

Timed out and failed, 3-4. Josh

Remove the rule “Tags”. In its place, add a subrule named “Enactment Limits”:

For the enactment of a Votable Matter to make a modification outside of the dynastic rules, it must explicitly name the rule to be modified.

against I prefer tags because its much more obvious that its a serious Proposal, especially from the Slack #blogposts feed.

[Cuddlebeam] We’ve already voted through a proposal recently which removed the requirement to ever actually use tags. Saying “in Core” in proposal text is sufficient.

The use of tags in flagging Serious Proposals does seem like something we haven’t discussed, though, I think we are losing something there.

against Per Cuddlebeam and this needing more thought. I’m okay with being forgiving when people forget a Tag, but that doesn’t mean it’s time to throw them out, if they still serve a purpose.
