Proposal: Retroactive Continuity(?)

Can’t reach quorum with 15 votes against. Failed by Kevan.

Adminned at 30 Jan 2010 11:42:45 UTC

Create a new rule entitled “I’m Not Dead Yet!” which reads as follows:

As a weekly action, the detective may ask the Executor to roll a DICEX with the comment “Grave Digging”, where X is equal to the number of player who have a health state of “Dead” plus one. If the result is a one, the Detective accidentally exposes himself and his identity is revealed (by the Executor) to the Guests in a story post as soon as the Executor is able to do so. Otherwise, the Dead Guest whose name, when put in an alphabetical list with the other Dead Guests, corresponds to the number given by the dice roll (2 corresponding to the the first person on the list, 3 to the second person, and so on) has his health state set to “wounded” and has his location set to the Parlor. The Executor then must make a story post as soon as he is able to stating that the guest has been found by the detective and actually only appeared dead for any reason which the Executor may choose.

If a quorum of the EVCs on this proposal contain the phrase “Cop Out”, then change “As a weekly action” to “Twice per week” in the above text.

Repropose to take both detectives into account, and I’ll CoV.

And if “Rest in Peace” passes, you’ll need to make it so that dead Guests can’t talk to each other, or they’ll be able to bring the collected wisdom of all the dead Guests back with them from the afterlife.

I think that was intentional; to give the dead something to do.

Which is fine currently, but as soon as people come back from the dead, they can tell everyone what all the dead people think, which defeats the purpose of the “dead people can’t talk” rule.

We could make a Parcheesi-for-the-dead sub-game for them to play in the abyss.  against

Wait, so is the general opinion on this that if I adjust it to account for both detectives and add that the new person has significent “memory loss” from the “traumatic experience”, then this will pass?

If you repropose you’ll have to fight it out with the reproposed version of alethiophile’s idea. I think I’d vote for this one, but I’d have to see what shape they get reproposed in.
