According to the ruleset, this has to be a proposal.

against True that. Proposal coming up.

The rule says, “A Member of the Staff may only change his name as a result of a proposal approving the change.”

However, in this case, he is not changing his own name; we are changing it for him. So I think this CfJ is still valid.

Yeah, this is perfectly valid, and I feel that it requires immediate attention.

This is valid. He can change his name back later.

for Or rather, change his name to something different, if he wants to.

against Why are we choosing a name for this player?  Anyway, if he wants to play, he can stop controlling the current account, and make a new account with a non-troll name.  We’re not going to automatically ban someone for having registered two accounts; it’s not even illegal unless they are both being controlled, and banning would only happen if they were both being actively controlled in an annoying way.

He can always change it real quick via proposal. I just don’t like the CfJ moniker in any more places than it has to be.
