Create a new rule entitled “Rituals” as follows:
Some Dynastic Actions are Ritual Actions, which any given Wizard can perform no more than once in the intervening period of time between the Commencements of two successive Duels.
Thinking about moving things like Style changes into this, and maybe something like adding Gewgaws to a selection pool too. But I’m not sure if I’m missing anything with this wording and would appreciate feedback.
Clucky: he/him
as already explained here https://blognomic.com/archive/guilded_age I’d really prefer the cadence of dynastic actions to be “happens on the duel” not “happens during the duel” because the later encourages reactionary gameplay where players need compelled to constantly check in. Like if you turned style selection into something you did during duels, it would be far easier for people who cast their spells late to line up unique/trendy statuses. Its already hard enough getting everyone to take their turns, would be even worse if there start to be advantages to waiting.
So totally down making changing your guild, updating your styles, etc… as all “Ritual Actions” just as long as they are performed by pming the battle master not just by someone making a change.
