Watch your variables - “That Driver then gains a Route of the Nth type” means that you will always gain the last Route on the alphabetical list.

No, because I’ve used N before.  So if you rolled 1, N is 1, and you’d get Airport.

You’re rolling a DICEN, rather than N being the result.

Also, it should be at least possible to influence the result with Cash, probably quite strongly. Perhaps spend N cash and roll DICEN? That way, later routes would be harder to access. Probably a couple of rerolls should be allowed to give a bit more influence over the result.

You define N as “the number of currently available types of Routes”. If you roll 1 on a DICE2, N is still 2 - you don’t explicitly say that N is set to the result of the die roll.

I believe Kevan is right.

Maybe reword to “That Driver then gains a Route of the DICENth type, in alphabetical order, placing it at the end of their list” ?? Or put in an example.

Suburb Route’s effect is not well defined if the last Route on the list is also a Suburb Route.
