It looks like the final rulesets of the first 20 dynasties were never archived, and the archives of the old website don’t seem to contain snapshots of old rulesets either. Does anyone know of a way to retrieve the necessary pages? Apart from going through every single enacted proposal in each dynasty, that is.
Ah! Looks like it was being hosted on one of the player’s (now defunct) personal wikis. Archive.org has some random snapshots, although they’re unlikely to have captured any final rulesets.
BlogNomic is an online Nomic: a self-modifying game where changing the rules is part of the game. Players make blog posts proposing additions or alterations to the ruleset, discussing and casting votes in the comments: if enough vote in favour, the rules are changed and play continues.
The game has been running since 2003 and resets every month or so. Have a look around the wiki for more information and history. New players are always welcome and can join in the game at any time.

Looking at the old wiki, there’s a file containing every edit in its history, and this actually only goes back to midway through The Petri-Dish Dynasty. If anyone wants to dig through this and reassemble the final ruleset for dynasties 18, 19 and 20, I’ve put them in a single page on the new wiki (it’s easy enough to pull out the dynastic rules, as they get deleted en masse at the end of each dynasty; the core rules are a little trickier).
I really can’t remember where we were keeping the ruleset prior to Dynasty 18, though. Maybe archive.org could help?
