Call for Judgment: Separate Votes

Quorums 1-3. — Quirck

In the rule, “Imaginary Friends,” append the following to the end of the first paragraph:-

Voting on behalf of an Imaginary Friend counts as a separate vote for the purposes of the rules “Votable Matters” and “Proposals.”

Quirck and I disagree about the interpretation of the rule “Imaginary Friends,” so let’s have a little bit of clarity.

Note: separate vote of who? I’d word it like “counts only as the Imaginary Friend’s vote, and not the Child’s vote”

Note: but maybe I’m nitpicking and it’s fine :)

I like your wording, it’s extra clear, but I don’t think there’s any way to change the wording now, is there?

Without another proposal or CfJ?

Now there isn’t -_-

“If no Child has commented on it, or if the only comments on it begin with “Note:” and contain no voting icons, an official post may be altered or removed by its author”

Oh damn! I was looking for that rule but I couldn’t find it. Forgive me. I’ll get back into the swing of things eventually.

against I don’t think this is specific enough to stop “A Child’s Vote on a Votable Matter is the last valid voting icon that they have used in any comment on that Votable Matter.” from triggering.

We can get around it for now by always casting the Imaginary vote first, of course.
