Proposal: Seven days is still a long time but not quite forever

Adminned at 09 Apr 2021 17:42:20 UTC

In the rule “Play” replace “48” with “24” each time it occurs.

Add a new dynastic rule called “Prompt Play” and give it the following text

If a Participant in a game has gone the last 24 consecutive hours without responding to a Sfida made by their Opponent (if one has been pending for the full 24 hours), or not taking their turn when it is their turn (if their turn and there have been no other rules preventing them from making a play for the full 24 hours) and the game is not already Closed, any Player or Dealer may make a comment on that game’s table declaring “TIMEOUT” and the name of the Participant in question. Doing so immediately causes that game to become closed, with the Participant of the game who was not named as its Campione

If the environment for ever non-ended game includes the phrase “Going 24 consecutive hours”, any Dealer or Player may remove this rule from the ruleset

against 24 hours is still too quick for players with accidental absences, and seven days (well, 14 for you and 21 for me) is still a viable stalling mechanic for any player wanting to catch up.

people will eventually get into games with people who want to play. only way stalling is actually effective is if you put some sort of cap on the number of games someone can join
