Proposal: Shipping Containers

Self-killed. Failed by Kevan.

In “Gold”, replace “Unless otherwise specified, no Hunter may take an action that either causes their Pieces to become negative, or causes another Hunter’s pieces to become negative.” with:-

Unless otherwise specified, no Hunter may take an action that causes a Hunter’s Pieces to become negative. If an action would cause a Hunter’s Pieces to be changed to a value greater than the Hold Size of that Hunter’s Ship, that value is instead changed to be equal to the Hold Size of that Ship.

Change the Costs and Hold Sizes of the Ships to be as follows:-

  • Raft - Cost: 1, Hold Size: 5
  • Sloop - Cost: 5, Hold Size: 10
  • Brigantine - Cost: 12, Hold Size: 20
  • Barque - Cost: 25, Hold Size: 30
  • Galleon - Cost: 25, Hold Size: 40

The throwaway implication from Sci_Guy12 about Hold Size determining Pieces seems like a good use for the stat. Should probably lower the Hold Sizes and Costs of Ships to match - 500 Pieces is a huge amount.

The first part is unnecessary. Rule set already says “If a Hunter’s Pieces is greater than the Hold Size of their Ship, their Pieces are set to equal the Hold Size of their ship.”

But I think the cost changes are good so for

Huh, somehow I managed to completely miss that.

against Selfish self-kill, as this now (with my Explore action unprocessed and a lucky Raid roll putting me at 11 Pieces) has the side effect of costing me 1 Piece upon enactment.
