Proposal: Shiver Me Timbers!

Add a new rule called “Pirate Talk”, containing the folowing text:

The Pirate must speak in pirate talk at all times, except when writing a proposal. Failure to follow this rule will result in his timbers being shivered.
If the Pirate’s timbers are shivered, any Hunter in the same location as him may steal one (1) piece o’ eight from the Pirate. The Pirate’s timbers shall remain shivered until either of the following is true:

  • The Pirate has lost at least one piece o’ eight and his timbers have been shivered for at least 3 hours.
  • The Pirate’s timbers have been shivered for at least 12 hours.

against Seems a bit strong. Does voting without a comment count as “not speaking in pirate talk”? Does reading a proposal without commenting on it count?

against Do we imagine hunters being co-located? I would like to see clarification for whom can change the pirate’s ‘shivered’ status. Also, there needs to be clarification on “may steal one (1) piece o’ eight from the Pirate”. For example, I can steal one then another one, then another one and essentially drain the pirate’s pieces so long as his shivered status isn’t changed and it hasn’t been 12 hours.
