Proposal: Shoot I’m out of Batteries!

Create a new rule titled: “Light in the Dark.”

Each player has a variable tracked secretly known as: “Flashlight Power” this starts at 100.

Also, Create a new sub-rule of “Light in the Dark” titled “Battery Swap?”

As a weekly action, two players may agree to swap their values of “Flashlight Power”.

We have batteries in these flashlights, Right?

Just a couple of things to firm this up, otherwise this seems pretty good:
- variable, not value
- needs to be publicly tracked, unless you wanted it to be secret, in which case that should also be specified
- battery swap could probably work as a subrule of flashlight power

Do players know their own flashlight value?

I think you need to define “weekly” more concretely as well, such as “UTC 00:00 the day of the week that this is enacted through the day before that day of the week UTC 23:59” or something similar.

To be fair, I haven’t checked the ruleset for a common definition for “weekly”.

We typically wrap the proposed ruletext in blockquote tags. To do this, select the text and click the third icon in the quick format bar.

@JonathanDark, “weekly action” is an Appendix entry.

“Tracked secretly” is good, but by who?

Speaking of which, there needs to be a non-repudiable mechanism for swaps, such that both involved players can be sure it happened and neither can claim after the fact that they didn’t agree to it.

Benbot, if you will post another version of your Proposal with corrections as suggested by the comments here, I’ll likely agree with it.
