Proposal: Signature Prop

Self-killed, failed by Kevan.

Adminned at 24 Mar 2009 16:34:56 UTC

At the end of the rule 2.7.1 ‘Using Props’ add the following:

When a Scripter uses a Signature Prop in a scene, that Scripter may increase their own popularity by 1.

Hoping to make the ways of increasing popularity more diverse, I think this might be a good idea, but more importantly, I’d like to see your own opinions on the matter.
It’ll be a while before anyone gets a prop to 10 C.R. anyways, and I can imagine it being hard to fit 10 words or more into your scene.

against It grossly devalues the popularity boost gained from being voted the best scripter at the end of the Act, which should be our primary means of gaining popularity.

against As Josh. Would be okay if there were some way to distinguish a clever, respected use of a Signature Prop from “blah blah, hero kills three goons with the Signature Prop With A Name That Is Ten Words Long”.

Maybe a third vote for “best use of a signature prop” at the end of an Act?

against disproportional to current Popularity gains; maybe double the +1/-1 from being voted best/worst scene if you have a signature prop?
