Amend “Each Individual is either a Researcher, a Collector or an Outsider” to “Each Individual is either a Researcher, a Collector, a Cultist or an Outsider”
Amend “An Outsider may become a Collector at any time.” to “An Outsider may become a Collector at any time. An Individual can become a Cultist by removing from the Ruleset two Artefacts they are holding.”
Add a rule called “Cultists” with:
A Cultist can, as a Daily Action, Sacrifice a Artefact they are holding to remove it from the Ruleset and remove 1 Damage Counter from The One.
Add a new Artefact called “The One”:
Description: It’s a dot-sized extraplanar entity formed by millions of fragments of artefact what-ifs and hypothetical inventions to be. Research points to that it’s a sort of mechanical Black Hole. It has a sort of eerie, but immensely attractive allure…
Location: Unknown
Protocol: Do not [Redacted] [Redacted] [Redacted] the One.
Effect: The One is Alive. While it is Incapacitated, it cannot have a Location other than Unknown. The One starts with 50 Reality Damage Tokens (abbreviated as the Reality Damage token symbol with a “x Z” next to it, where Z is the amount of Reality Damage Tokens it has). The One cannot be held.
Add to “Attainment”:
If an Individual is a Cultist, then their Attainment score is equal to P where P = (50 - [the amount of Damage Tokens that The One has]) x 7 - [the number of Damage tokens they currently have]
More costly, but better scaling group play Attainment option.
Also a way to incentivize getting rid of Artefacts because we might get too many, but making more is always fun.
Josh: he/they
How is this anything other than a higher-scoring version of the researcher?
