Proposal: Waking the sleeping beauty

Timed out 1 vote to 2. Failed by Kevan.

Adminned at 18 Dec 2019 09:39:24 UTC

For each Person who isn’t the Person named Kevan, increase their Stamina by 7.

If a quorum of Persons who have an EVC on this proposal has “Speedy Speedy” as a string on that EVC, add the following Rule:

The Person named Kevan has achieved victory

I get that this dynasty has bad momentum, but I’d like to give the snoozing people a chance if they actually intend to give the dynasty a shot. A 7 Stamina lead feels like a significant one.

Or, if you guys just don’t want to really play this, we don’t have to pretend to be playing and we can just give the win to the person who is actually paying attention to the game and skip to a new dynasty.

I know the Everlerd title is meaningless, but 14 Stamina per player is enough for any two players to end and win the Blegnemic subgame instantly.

Correct. And that also applies to yourself.

I think I might vote for this if Cuddlebeam were to also spend his stamina in the minigame, first. Otherwise, we’d all get a bonus of getting to choose where we place our catch-up stamina, and it seems overly unfair.

Huh? Why just me specifically? If it would be fair according to that, then shouldn’t it be everyone?

Anyways, I’m a lot more interested in playing the dynasty with other players rather than arguing with the Emperor, and it’s been 24h of not much and finger twiddling.

So: Speedy Speedy for

It should be everyone, but my minimum expectation is that the proposer would set the example, get some skin in the game. Unless it’s just bampam, because that doesn’t always have to be fair to get passed.

Anyway, sure, I’ll support your call for a new Dynasty. I don’t see much merit in this dynasty, mechanistically, and that’s probably because I didn’t start by planning a game mechanic. Your dynasty was awesome, and you put lots of work into it. I get stressed about running a dynasty, and it locks me up, creatively.

(I appreciate your honesty. I didn’t mean to be argumentative, of course, but sure, seems like there hasn’t been much else going on, and I apologise.)

Point of order: even if this proposal passes with Quorum votes calling for a “Speedy Speedy” victory, Kevan still cannot win outright because the post lacks the “[Victory]” tag.

Or does this simply mean that Kevan will be able to claim victory by DoV as usual, on the grounds that there’s a rule allowing him to do so?

[Duke] Good question. I’d say this fits the standard method for establishing a victory condition via rule, and as it is indirect, works as stated. It sure toes the line, though.
