Proposal: Slip the Surly Bonds

Amend the subrule entitled Immanentizing the Eschatons, renaming it to Unblocking Chakras and rewording it as follows:

Each Time Monk has a field in the GNDT entitled Chakras, defaulting to zero. Each Dynasty may or may not be Unblocked, and defaults to not being Unblocked.

If a Time Monk would be eligible to achieve Victory in the Dynasty that they currently occupy, were they Enlightened, and if that Dynasty has not yet been Unblocked, then they may Unblock that Dynasty by making a blog post with the Title “Unblocking a Chakra: Dynasty X”, where X is the Dynasty they occupy, and placing an asterisk beside that Dynasty in the Dynastic History list on the UTD. Upon doing so, the Monk who Unblocked the Dynasty gains 1 Chakra and 1 Chronotohm.

Time Monks may be either Enlightened or Unenlightened, defaulting to Unenlightened. A Time Monk may not declare Victory if he or she is Unenlightened.

Add a new sub-rule to the Hard Rules, entitled Chronotohms:

Each Time Monk has a non-negative quantity of Chronotohms, which is tracked in the GNDT. As a daily action, a Time Monk may expend a number of Chronotohms to change their Occupied Dynasty, with the quantity spent detailed below:

* For 1 Chronotohm, the Time Monk’s Occupied Dynasty changes at random - the Time Monk must roll DICE100 in the GNDT and set their Occupied Dynasty to the result;
* For 2 Chronotohms, the Time Monk may specify a window of ten contiguous Dynasties into which they will jump; they must then roll DICE10 in the GNDT and move to the Dynasty within that window that corresponds to the result;
* For 5 Chronotohms, the Time Monk may set their Occupied Dynasty to the Dynasty of their choosing.

A Time Monk can acquire Chronotohms through a variety of means. As well as the reward for Unblocking Chakras, the Time Buddha can award 1 Chronotohm to any Time Monk to fill out the necessary details for five dynasties in the UTC, and PM the Time Buddha claiming their reward. Each Time Monk can claim this reward only once.

Add a new rule to the ruleset, entitled Dynasty 100 Defence System, containing the following text:

The Dynasty 100 ruleset may not be altered as the result of a provision set out in the ruleset of any other dynasty, an action permitted by the ruleset of another dynasty or a gamestate change triggered by a rule from the ruleset of another dynasty, unless those provisions, actions or gamestate changes also exist in the Dynasty 100 ruleset.

Changing the wording for ersatz-victories, partly because Escatons is an existing keyword in a previous dynasty, adding a method of travel, and building a better firewall against dynastic bleed.

The slightly cumbersome wording of that last bit to to ensure that I don’t inadvertently make it illegal to make proposals or CfJs because they are provisions that exist in other dynasties.
